Managing Distress Alarms
When a worker selects the Emergency button on the Live Access app and holds it for 3 seconds, it will initiate a distress signal that will show up on the map.
The Distress Alarm or Emergency button is particularly useful for Sites where there are Lone Workers.
Distress Alarm on the Map
1. If you are viewing the Signed-in Users in the List View and see the distress alert there, select View on the Map or select Actions > Location in Map, and the map view shown above will appear.
2. To view the worker and origin of the distress signal on the map, select View Details. The map will pan over to the location of the emergency and show the worker details popup.
You may also select the Recent Activity notification to see the alarm details on the Activity slide-over panel.
3. To manage the alarm, select Resolve. Choose either Cancel for false alarms or Resolve to confirm the emergency has been addressed.
4. A Resolved notification replaces the distress signal once you've resolved or cancelled the alarm.
Here’s what the reporter of the distress alarm sees when it is resolved:
An 'Already Resolved' notification appears if a user attempts to resolve an alert previously cleared by a supervisor. | A 'Resolved' confirmation will appear when the user successfully marked the alert as resolved. |
