Contractor Archiving - When a contractor deactivates someone we call it archiving. Only the contractor can use the archiving function. A profile can be archived/unarchived multiple times by the administrator and that profile will change from Active to Inactive whenever they do this. There is no impact on the token. A token is valid 12 months from the date it was issued, If 12 months passes and the person needs to become active again they will need a new token. If someone is archived they can no longer access their profile. It's easy for the contractor to do this, see further details on how an admin can archive and unarchive their workers here.

Staff Deactivating Workers - Deactivating is a function only available to internal staff. If you deactivate someone they will remain Inactive until a staff activates them again. The contractor can't make them active. They can archive/unarchive the persons profile but this won't change them to active. This is commonly used for safety breaches or if you wanted to stop someone from working for your company. In regards to the token, you can deactivate/activate as much as you want. They would only need a new token if it was over 12 months since it was issued. If someone is deactivated they can still access their profile for their company they just have no access to training or requests on their dashboard.

Staff Deactivating Companies from the Contractor List - Deactivating companies is only available to internal staff. Deactivating a company will change all workers in the account to Inactive along with the company status. This function is used when a contractor no longer works for the Client or is not engaged for a long period of time. The administrators and workers can still access their accounts however all document reminders and requests for a worker or company to maintain compliance stops. The company is also hidden from the contractor list unless you change your filters.

We have another option to deactivate from a site or project. See this guide for further details.
