Introduction
The Risk Register list view and detail screen provide managers with a centralised hub to monitor and manage risks across their organisation's sites effectively. This guide will walk you through key features and functionalities to help you effectively manage risks.
The Risk Register List View
After selecting the
module picker > Risk Register, the first screen you will see is the Risk Register, or a list of all Risks across different Risk Areas.
Expanded View
By default, the page will be in Expanded View. The expanded view displays All Risks at each Site where the Risk is present:
Consolidated View
Select or toggle the Consolidated View button from Expanded View to display each Risk and all Sites where the Risk is present (with the highest residual risk across all Sites displayed). To view the Consolidated Risk Register, select the Consolidated View button at the top right:
The Risk Detail screen
To view comprehensive risk information, select Manage > View Risk in the Risk Register page, which takes you to the Risk Detail screen displaying additional risk information, sites with associated risks and residual risk ratings, and outstanding actions related to the risk.
The image below explains each element on the Risk Detail screen:
Risk Title Format: Risk Area > Risk ID with Category > Risk Name
Site Column: Each Site the Risk is present at - you can select the Site to view the Site Detail screen
Risk Owner Column: Displays the Risk owner for each Risk
Initial Risk Column: Shows the Initial Risk (IR) rating → A tooltip indicates the Likelihood and Consequence (L:C) value upon hovering
Controls Column: Indicates the number of Controls associated with each Risk (i.e. Risk Mitigations)
Status Column: Provides further insight into the current state of each Risk (e.g. Not Controlled, Controlled, or Partially Controlled)
Residual Risk Column: Shows the Residual Risk (RR) rating → A tooltip indicates the Likelihood and Consequence (L:C) value upon hovering
The Residual Risk can differ at each Site (i.e. depending on the Controls in place)
Actions Column: Displays any Actions for the Risk/Site → selecting the Actions badge displays the Actions slide-over panel with the details of each Action (and who each Action is assigned to)
Last Updated Column: Indicates the date of the last update for each Risk
Manage Dropdown: Provides options such as Actions, Controls, and Transfer Owner → These options are explained in more detail below
Residual Risk Rating Badge: Positioned at the top right of the table, a badge displays the highest Residual Risk rating across all Sites
Edit Risk Button: This functionality allows you to modify the Risk details, such as title, description, Risk owner, risk rating, and any other relevant attributes
Manage Sites Buttons: Used to remove the Risk from one Site and/or add it to others
Risk Category Dropdown: For additional context, this area displays all other Risks for the same Category as the selected Risk
Manage (Options for each Site)
It’s possible to update Actions, Controls or Transfer the Owner via the Manage button on each row:
Manage > Action
View all Actions for the selected risk at the chosen site. Refer to Managing Risk Actions | Add an Action to a Risk
Manage > Controls
Please select this option to view existing Controls and their effective dates at the selected Site.
How to view and/or update Controls
1.On the Risk view page, select the Manage > Control dropdown button.
2. Select one or more controls to enable the Update Controls button.
3. Control details can be modified through the Update Controls screen. This is where you can edit the following fields:
Control: Provide details about the measures or actions to manage or mitigate the Risk
Hierarchy of Control: Specify which level of control is being implemented to manage the risk, e.g. elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Effective from date: This is the date when the control measure becomes operational or is implemented
Add Files: Enables users to upload up to 20 supporting documents or images per control, with a maximum total file size of 100MB
Remove: You may also remove one or more uploaded files in this section
Mandatory Control (toggle): This indicates whether the control measure is mandatory or required by regulations, standards, or organisational policies
Residual risk rating: This assesses the risk level after control implementation
Risk status: This indicates the current status of the risk.
Delete Control: This removes the selected control
Add Control: This creates an additional control

4. Select Save Changes to update the risk and return to the Risk Detail screen.
Manage > Transfer Owner
Use this option to assign the Risk to a different Risk Owner (i.e. the person responsible for monitoring the Risk and implementing appropriate Controls).
How to assign a New Owner
1. On the Risk view page, select the Manage > Transfer dropdown button.
2. Select the New Risk Owner from the alphabetical staff list.
The current Risk Owner is excluded from the list
Select the New Risk Owner from the dropdown list
If you want to Transfer pending actions for this Risk… select the checkbox, otherwise any pending actions associated with the Risk will remain assigned to the current Risk Owner
Select the Transfer Owner button to record the changes you have made and update the Risk Owner
Sites List View
The Risk by Sites screen provides a comprehensive list of all Sites (with Risks), allowing Users to access Site Details, including categories and associated Risks for each Site. Additionally, you can add or create new Risks directly from this screen:
Columns in the Risks by Site Table
Site: Selecting the Site name in this column will redirect you to the ‘Site Detail’ screen
#Risks: This column displays a count of all Risks at the Site that are NOT marked as ‘Eliminated’ (Risk Status)
Residual Risk Rating: Displays the highest Residual risk. → A tooltip indicates the Likelihood and Consequence (L:C) value upon hovering
Risk Owner: Displays the name of the Risk Owner if all risks for this site have a single owner. When multiple risks are assigned to different risk owners, it displays ‘Multiple’. Hovering over ‘Multiple’ reveals a list of Risk Owners in a tooltip
Completed: This column shows a count of completed Actions from the site
Pending: This column displays a count of pending Actions from the site
Last Assessed: Indicates the date of the previous Risk Review → Selecting the date redirects you to the ‘Risk Review’ table.
Site Detail Screen
To view the Risk profile of a Site, follow these steps:
1. Select the Site name from the list view:
2. You will be redirected to the Site Details screen of the selected Site → Note that the default ordering is to display Risks by the Category (and then by the Risk with the highest Residual Risk to the Risk with the Lowest Residual Risk):
The title format: All Categories > [Site Name]
View: By default, the table is ordered by Category (the Risk Rating can also sort the list)
Under each Category row: you'll find a list of risks specific to that Category
Add Risk Item + button: This functionality works the same as adding a risk from the Risk Register screen and Risk by Site screen
Risks are displayed in accordion rows:
Expanding Accordion Rows displays more information about each Risk:

Manage Dropdown: All functionalities under the Manage dropdown are the same as those on the Risk Details screen
Manage Sites Button: The functionality of the Manage Sites button is identical to the Manage Site feature on the Risk Details screen
View Risk Button: Selecting this button will redirect you to the Risk Details screen
