What is a Competency Matrix?

A Competency Matrix, also known as a skills matrix or capability matrix, is a tool used to assess and track the skills, knowledge, and abilities of the employees or team members. It consists of a grid or table format where the rows represent individual employees or team members, and the columns represent specific competencies or skills required for their roles or tasks.

Accessing the Competency Matrix

  1. Go to Reports > Competency Matrix

2. Select the Filters button to build out your Competency Matrix report

  • Type - You have the option to choose between Staff or Worker

  • Category Options - You can select Staff / Worker or Plant Operator Categories

  • Additional Documents - You have the option to select additional Document Categories to display.

  • Show All Users - when checked, it will display all the Staff or Workers with assigned Training and Additional Documents regardless of the Category and Project selected

  • Active Users Only - This checkbox is preselected by default. You have the option to uncheck it if you want to include inactive Users as well

a. Documents that are REJECTED or EXPIRED will be displayed as a red square in each Worker or Staff row.

b. Documents that are PENDING UPLOAD or AWAITING APPROVAL will be represented by a blue square.

c. Documents that have been APPROVED will be indicated by a green square.
