23-07-2026 July 2026 Quick Release V3

Summary

This quick release makes contractor registration clearer and safer — links with an invalid client code now show a helpful error instead of silently creating an unlinked account, and email addresses containing underscores or plus signs are accepted again.

It also restores expired-document suppliers to the default supplier list, lets site-level permission holders edit suppliers without an error, hides documents on ended sites in the Contractor App, fixes plant expiry email alerts for organisation-owned plant, and corrects how staff dates of birth are stored via the integration API.

Contractor Registration

  • Clear error for invalid registration links - When a contractor opens a registration link that contains an invalid or out-of-date client code, they now see a clear message that the link isn't valid and how to get a current one, instead of the page silently creating an account that isn't linked to any client.

  • Emails with underscores or plus signs accepted again - Email addresses containing an underscore (_) or a plus sign (+) — both valid — are now accepted again on registration and in staff and worker email fields, after previously being rejected in error.

Suppliers

  • Expired-document suppliers shown by default again - Suppliers whose documents have expired now appear in the Suppliers list by default, alongside active and invited suppliers, instead of being hidden until you manually change the status filter.

  • Site-level permission holders can edit suppliers - Staff whose supplier edit permission is granted at the site level can now edit supplier details and add or remove supplier attributes without hitting a "Something went wrong" error.

Site Documents

  • Documents on ended sites are no longer downloadable - In the Contractor App, documents belonging to sites that have ended are no longer listed or downloadable. The ended site itself still appears in your site list marked "(Inactive)".

Plant

  • Plant expiry email alerts fixed for organisation-owned plant - Plant expiry email alerts now send for organisation-owned plant and show the correct owner name, instead of the whole alert run failing.

APIs

  • Staff dates of birth stored correctly via the integration API - Staff dates of birth added or updated through the integration API are now validated correctly.

Changes to Be Aware Of

The following changes may affect how some features work. Please review these if they apply to your organisation.

  • Registration links with an invalid client code are now refused - A registration link containing an invalid or out-of-date client code now shows an error and does not create an account. Contractors holding an old code should request a current one. Previously such a link created an account that wasn't linked to any client.

  • Expired-document suppliers are back in the default supplier list - The default Suppliers view now includes suppliers whose documents have expired. If you relied on the previous default that excluded them, you will now see these suppliers listed by default.

  • Documents on ended sites are no longer downloadable (Contractor App) - When a site has ended, its documents are no longer listed or downloadable in the Contractor App, although the site still appears marked "(Inactive)". A worker may notice documents from an ended site are no longer available — this is intended.
