Running Offline Training Sessions Online

Record attendance for training delivered on Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet using an Offline Training Session and QR Code check-in

Written by ComplyFlow

Introduction

You can use Offline Training to record attendance for training you deliver in an online meeting, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet. Attendees check in with the Session QR Code during the meeting, and the completed Course is recorded against their profile.

You will need the Training module permissions to create and manage Sessions. Refer to Staff Permissions Overview

Record an online training session

  1. Send your meeting invite from the platform you use, e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet

  2. In ComplyFlow, go to Training > Sessions > Add Session

    • Select the Course the Session delivers

    • Set the Status to Confirmed. The QR Code is only available on Confirmed Sessions

    • Set the Session Dates to match your meeting

  3. During the meeting, open the Session, select QR Code and share your screen at the start or end of the meeting

    • Attendees scan the QR Code to check in

    • You can also select Copy Check-In URL and paste the link into the meeting chat

  1. Once the Session's scheduled time has passed, the Session is marked complete and the Course is recorded against each Attendee's profile. Anyone without a ComplyFlow profile is recorded as a Visitor

The check-in page closes once the Session has ended. If you share the QR Code at the end of the meeting, set the Session end time 15–30 minutes after you expect to finish.
